Step 1. It is much easier to look for things while your child is away. Check the obvious places first, look in drawers, closets, under the bed, and between the mattresses. Even such places as drop ceilings, under carpets, and jacket pockets.
Step 2. always search in a right handed direction, checking EVERYTHING. Read any written materials, such as notes, emails, diaries, ect. Leave nothing unturned as your child soul may depend on it.
Step 3. Save any incriminating evidence. Always hide the offending materials until your child comes home. Ask him or her how her day was, chit chat awhile. Then ASK THE important question... IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT. If the child lies and says no, confront them with the evidence.
Step 4. Explain to them about satan and how this material is not to be in your home or in their possession. Also make sure to destroy the material in front of them. If you burn anything, make sure to have an extinguisher near by.
I commend your dedication to keeping your child and your home free of secular and satanic influences. Your child room can harbor such items as pornography, secular music, banned literature, and caffine products.
